In his solitude, Vincent observed the world as it changed around him.  He now holds some of the information about the obstacles that lie ahead.” [ D i r g e   o f   C e r b e r u s ] “Originally a gun-slinging member of the Turks, back in the days when Shinra Electric Power Company was known as Shinra Manufacturing.  The mad scientist Hojo transformed his body into the aberration it is today.  His long slumber in a coffin below Shina Manor came to an end three years ago, when he was awakened by Cloud and joined him on his quest.” [ T i d b i t s ] Vincent’s age appears as 27 at all times because he ceased aging 30 years before Meteorfall (FF7).  In FF7 he is chronologically 57, in Advent Children he is 59, and in Dirge of Cerberus he is 60 (and looks pretty darned good for it). Vincent is a Libra. The Turks are also known officially as the “Department of Administrative Research” and the “Investigation Sector of the General Affairs Department.” [ source: Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VII: Lost Order ] Although Vincent’s birthplace is unknown, his father likely lived in Midgar when he worked for Shinra, or possibly traveled often as a paleontologist.  Vincent also would have logically lived in Midgar while serving ShinRa as a Turk.  [ source: Dirge of Cerberus ] His eyes were reddish brown before his body merged with Chaos, but now they are blood red.  [ source: Final Fantasy VII, Dirge of Cerberus gameplay ] The name of the gun that Vincent comes equipped with in FF7 (and the one in his FF7 artwork) is called Quicksilver, but his two most well-known firearms are Death Penalty and Cerberus. Although labeled “Shinra Handgun” in DoC’s Training Mode, Quicksilver is suspected to be the gun he used as a Turk.
